What precautions are being taken by JAB to minimize risk of COVID? Coaches will wear masks during practices and to and from games. Players will be asked to bring their own balls and the one ball that is used for scrimmaging will be sanitized in between practices. The number of players allowed per practice will be limited.
How can players and parents help minimize the risk? This is an unprecedented time and we are all doing our best to navigate these foreign territories. We ask that if your child and anyone in your family is not feeling well that you not send your child to practices or games until further notice. Please inform your child's head coach that you'll be keeping them home We will keep everyone posted as to any potential risks and we expect you'll do the same for our program. What happens if our child or one of our family members contracts COVID? Please let your child's head coach know immediately. We recommend that you quarantine for 14 days from the date of infection. Your child will not be allowed back until the 14 day period is up, they've had 7 days of being symptom free, and a negative test result. Your best source of guidance will be your PCP.
What happens if our child or one of our family members has been exposed to someone with COVID but we're unsure if he or she has it? Please let your child's head coach know immediately. We recommend that you quarantine for 7 days from the date of exposure. Your child will not be allowed back until 7 days of being symptom free and a negative test result or 14 days symptom free..
