Send the following form to all the parents of your grade and gender to see if you can get enough players to continue into the spring and/or summer! Learn more and submit interest!
LEAGUE TEAMS
Boys and Girls League Teams allow your child to practice and compete in a fun and challenging environment. Teams are for 2nd through 8th grade.
League Team Cost
2nd* & 3rd Grade – $550 (approx. 2 x 60 minute practices a week)
4th Grade & Up – $675 (approx. 2 x 90 minute practices a week)

The regular season practices run from Aug. 31 through Nov. 5. League Team Placement Practices to determine team rosters will be between Aug. 17-24
*2nd Grade Boys and Girls players interested in a team will go through an evaluation practice to determine JAB Jrs placement or team placement.
NEXT LEVEL ACADEMY
Available this fall season for 6th and 7th Grade Boys.
The NEXT LEVEL ACADEMY is a development-focused basketball league designed to help players improve faster through more touches, more decisions, and more game-like reps.
The JAB Next model is built differently:
– More touches, fewer lines
– More decision-making, less standing around
– More real-game reps, every single week
Players will:
– Compete in small-sided games (3v3, 4v3, etc.)
– Build skills in focused practices
– Apply everything immediately in live play
Translation: more confidence, higher IQ, and real development you can see.
SELECT & CLUB TOURNAMENT TEAMS
JAB Select Tournament Teams are designed for high-level, experienced players. Our Club Teams provide an introduction to tournament play by participating in an additional tournament alongside regular league play. Due to fall tournament dates and locations not being ideal, UA Circuit tournament teams will return in the spring/summer.
4th through 6th Grade: Require a fall and winter commitment. Boys for 4th – 6th and Girls for 6th grade only.
7th & 8th Grade: Separate seasons in fall and winter with tryouts for both seasons.
9th Grade: Fall season only.
We host required tryouts for players to be selected for either of these teams. ALL PLAYERS SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND BOTH TRYOUTS.
Tryouts will be the week of Aug. 17 – exact days and times per grade level will be sent out on Aug. 11.
NEW THIS SEASON: JAB now offers Under Armour Circuit Teams for players seeking a higher level of competition. Here are the new levels:
Under Armour Circuit Teams are designed for the top players in each grade level below and include very competitive tournament play with out-of-state travel as well as local tournaments.
Select Teams compete in local tournaments and include one out-of-area tournament.
Club Teams (Select Prep) provide an introduction to tournament play. Teams will compete in local league play but have an added 2-4 tournaments through the duration of the spring/summer season.
** Not all grade levels will have all team options above.
Commitment: Playing for a UA Circuit, Select, or Club team requires a commitment to the team for two consecutive seasons: the Spring and Summer schedule. The season will conclude at the end of July.
Tryouts for Fall and Winter season will be in August.
JAB JUNIORS SKILLS ACADEMY
Looking for your little one to start enjoying basketball and learning basic skills? JAB Juniors Skills Academy offers practices for kinder to 2nd grade boys and girls.
$320
One day a week option: $180
Practice are one hour each. Will be 16 total sessions from end of August thru October.
SUPER WORKOUTS
SUPER WORKOUT: Is your player in a fall sport? THIS IS FOR THEM!
Perfect for players who may be in a fall sport but want to stay sharp with their basketball skills.
Register for Super Workout as an 8 session package or a 12 session package.
This program is for 3rd–9th grade boys and girls who are unable to fully commit to a team due to other sports or scheduling conflicts. It’s a great option for athletes who still want to stay sharp, build skills, and stay active on the court with just one evening session per week! Also available as an add-on to kids wanting additional skills work beyond team practices.

SEASON FAQS
What are the dates of the season?
The regular season practices run from late August through either end of October or November 5th (depending on league placement)
Where and when will practices be?
Our practice locations for the summer season will be Jesuit, The Winston School, Stars Multicenter Farmers Branch, Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Ursuline, and possibly other locations.
How often and long are practices?
League Teams:
- 2nd-3rd 60 minutes practices twice a week, 4th and up 90 minutes (there will be some weeks with only one practice due to gym conflicts)
Where will games be played?
We will have teams playing in several leagues which will include Dallas Stars League (Farmers Branch), Frisco FieldhouseUSA, Grapevine FieldhouseUSA, and PSA (Plano, Murphy, McKinney). Exact league is based on team placement. Most leagues weekend games. The Dallas Stars League have games on weeknights and Sundays.
Are there tryouts?
No tryouts for our league registration. We hold eval practices to determine team placement the week of August 17th
We will have tryouts for 2nd grade teams to determine skill level and players may be asked to join JAB Jrs before starting with team.
We do host tryouts which registration is required, for our tournament level teams.
Can we request to play with friends?
For league teams, we do accept friend requests, but they are not guaranteed, as we prioritize team placement based on skill level. If some players in the group are at different levels, they may be placed on separate teams. Typically, for players in 6th grade and above, we stop accepting individual requests unless an entire team wants to play together with JAB.
How do I order a jersey?
Info on jerseys will be sent after registration.
