LEAGUE TEAMS
2nd-8th Grade Boys & Girls: (2 x 60 minute practices a week)

The regular season practices run from November 17th through February 12th. League Team Placement Practices to determine team rosters will be week of November 3rd.
Teams are for 2nd grade through 8th Grade.
*Boys and Girls 2nd Grade players interested in a team will go through an evaluation practice to determine JAB Jrs placement or Team placement.
Boys and Girls League Teams allow your child to practice and compete in a fun and challenging environment.
SELECT TOURNAMENT & CLUB TEAMS
JAB Select Tournament Teams are designed for high-level, experienced players. Our Club Teams provide an introduction to tournament play by participating in an additional tournament alongside regular league play.
We host required tryouts for players to be selected for either of these teams. ALL PLAYERS SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND BOTH TRYOUTS. If player can not attend they should note this in registration.
4th – 6th Grade Teams: Playing for a 4th-6th Grade Select or Club team (see 5th grade boys exception below) requires a commitment to the team for two consecutive seasons: a Fall-Winter schedule. The season will conclude at the end of February. All 4th through 6th graders looking for a team this winter are welcome to sign up for a league team and tryout for Select or Club in the Spring.
5th Grade Boys and 7th & 8th Grade Boys & Girls Teams: We will be hosting tryouts on October 29th & October 30th for open spots on Select and Club teams in the 5th grade boys and 7th & 8th boys & girls grade levels only. They will play local tournaments and/or tournaments and league for winter only.

Available Teams:
- Boys: 4th Grade through 9th (we do not have JV or Varsity teams in the fall)
- Girls: 5th Grade through 9th (please note the teams we anticipate having are 5th, 7th, and 9th tryout registration for all players is available for all grade levels should there be interest)
Commitment: Playing for a 4th-6th Grade Select or Club team requires a commitment to the team for two consecutive seasons: a Fall-Winter schedule. The season will conclude at the end of February. Playing for a 7th-9th Grade Select or Club team requires a commitment to the team for one consecutive seasons: a Fall only schedule. The season will conclude at the end of October. (we will have teams in winter, information on how we are forming winter season teams for 7th and 8th will be sent out at a later date)
JAB JUNIORS SKILLS ACADEMY
K – 2nd Grade Boys & Girls: $320
Generally practice twice a week for one hour. Will be 16 total sessions.

SUPER WORKOUT
This program is for 3rd–9th grade boys and girls who are unable to fully commit to a team due to other sports or scheduling conflicts. It’s a great option for athletes who still want to stay sharp, build skills, and stay active on the court with just one evening session per week! Also available as an add-on to kids wanting additional skills work beyond team practices.

WINTER SEASON FAQS
What are the dates of the season?

Where and when will practices be?
Our practice locations for the Winter season will be Jesuit, The Winston School, Stars Multicenter Farmers Branch, Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Ursuline, and possibly other locations. Click below button for practice schedule.
How often and long are practices?
League Teams:
- 60 minutes practices twice a week (there will be some weeks with only one practice due to gym conflicts)
Where will games be played?
We will have teams playing in several leagues which will include Dallas Stars League (Farmers Branch), Frisco FieldhouseUSA, Grapevine FieldhouseUSA, and PSA (Plano, Murphy, McKinney). Exact league is based on team placement. Winter League teams are generally over the weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday). The Dallas Stars League have games on weeknights and Sundays.
Are there tryouts?
Not for 3rd grade and above league teams. Those are open registration.
We will have tryouts for 7th and 8th grade Select and Club tournament teams only.
We will have tryouts for 2nd grade teams.
Can we request to play with friends?
For league teams, we do accept friend requests, but they are not guaranteed, as we prioritize team placement based on skill level. If some players in the group are at different levels, they may be placed on separate teams. Typically, for players in 6th grade and above, we stop accepting individual requests unless an entire team wants to play together with JAB.
How do I order a jersey?
Info on jerseys will be sent after registration.
